Do you run in the winter?

It's cold (below freezing) and snowy. And it's dark at 5 pm. The last thing I think of when I get home is to go for a run. And yet — when I do manage it (usually during the day on a weekend), a winter run is pleasant, even exhilarating.

The key, of course, is to have the right gear. I invested in some long tights (so they go over my heels, adding a layer of warmth) and a merino running sweater. It has cuffs to go over my gloves to keep my hands warm, a hood for extra-cold days, and a front zipper so I can vent heat if I get too warm. I also always wear a headband to keep my ears warm, and gloves.

I don't know about you, but I find when I wear a cute running outfit, I'm more likely to go out.
